Comedian Wecksell to Entertain at
CBU Homecoming
Memphis -- Comedian
and Singer-Songwriter Evan Wecksell will perform a
preview of his show "College: The Musical---A Musical about College"
during Christian Brothers University's (CBU) homecoming week. His
performance will be held in Canale Arena on Thursday, February 19 at
7:30 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public.
Wecksell blends comedy and music in his acts which celebrate
dysfunctional relationships and the college experience while
brilliantly engaging the audience. His current tour is in promotion
of his new show, produced in collaboration with his wife, Kelly
Meyersfield. This show is targeted to college audiences and
highlights the joys, pains and hilarity of college.
Often tagged as a combination of Adam Sandler and Stephen Lynch,
Wecksell began by studying the comedy of New York City's comedic
greats. He has since performed in various clubs around the country
and produced several CDs. After moving to the West Coast, Wecksell
made his national television debut on VH1's "I Love the 80s 3D" and
other of the "I Love..." series. He is now working on multiple film,
theater and commercial projects while touring the country to promote
"College: The Musical---A Musical about College."
